Beechcroft Sports Club was founded in the 1930s as a tennis club and still retains its original club house which was used by the Home Guard during WWII. It is this building that has recently attracted the attention of the Hall Green Preservation Group.

The club benefited from a Sports England grant in 2014 and now boasts a brand new Tiger Turf astro multi-sports surface. (Read about the surface ) Beechcroft is proud to be the first club in Birmingham to be affiliated to the Birmingham County FA for its walking football, as well as the Lawn Tennis Assocication (LTA) for its tennis via the Warwickshire LTA. This entitles members to free LTA British Tennis Membership and to enter the ballot for the Wimbledon tickets allocated to the club.

Since 2014 when two local business men invested in the club much has changed and the club is no longer exclusively for tennis but other sports too. One of the most popular sports being Walking Football. Beechcroft Walking football Club to date has over 120 players in attendance each week with sessions on everyday except Sunday!

More recently Beechcroft has been granted planning permission for floodlights which will, when installed, create more time during the winter months for sport!
