Big thanks to the over 60s Birmingham walking football team who yesterday headed off to Nottingham to fly the flag for Beechcroft in the Rainbow Childrens Hospice event. The team finished 3rd overall with victories over Stamford and Lincoln. The low spot of the day was a defeat to locals Hartshill. BWFC went on to play well in their opening defeat to eventual winners, Leggy Mambos 0-2, but in the final match only lost 1-0 after hitting the bar in the toughest game of the tournament.
